Introduction
This course is offered as a third year, full-time option for students who wish to prepare for any Art & Design BA course at a UK University.
The course will help develop individual strengths and help identify specific areas of study. Students will build up a portfolio and be guided on interview techniques. They will be given help and support in choosing and applying for courses. Students are allocated their own individual studio space and have access to workshops throughout the year. They will plan and create a major project which culminates in a final exhibition at the end of June.
The Qualification is assessed at Distinction, Merit, or Pass (attracting 285 UCAS points for a Distinction). Last year’s students achieved 100% success rate, each gaining, on average 3 offers of places at good quality universities. 33% of students achieved Distinction and 43% achieved a Merit.
